The Greek delegation led by the Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, who was accompanied by the Secretary General for Public Health, Ms. Christina Papanikolaou attended the first 2014 EU Summit on Chronic Diseases that brought together key policymakers, stakeholders and interest groups to explore ways to address chronic diseases effectively in the EU and to develop recommendations regarding the effect of the expanding burden of chronic diseases on the quality of life of citizens and on the health systems.
